Job description

INVISTA is seeking a Construction Quality Assurance Inspection Leader to support small / large projects for its operating facilities primarily on the Gulf Coast.

The role will be based out of the Houston Texas office but will require travel (up to 50%) between the Gulf Coast sites depending on project requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and maintaining of QA best practices and procedures for INVISTA working closely with other Site professionals and be a key resource to all INVISTA sites and project teams.

What You Will Do

  • Required to have a good understanding of construction and fabrication principles.
  • Perform project assessment and audits.
  • Develop, schedule, and lead Supplier Pre-Fabrication Meetings
  • Review and comment on contractor quality package development at the start of the project to ensure all required documents are included per discipline.
  • Own and update the INVISTA Approved Manufacturer's List (AML)
  • Review supplier ITPs for the correctness and that all INVISTA Hold Points are identified.
  • Required to lead and perform Supplier Qualification Audits to see if a supplier has the capabilities to fabricate equipment and piping components for INVISTA.
  • Review INVISTA Quality Standards every other year to ensure compliance.
  • Pipe and pressure vessel fabrication review and oversite
  • Point of contact for all contracted third-party inspectors and inspection companies.
  • A good understanding of the various metallurgies (Ferrous and Non-Ferrous, Duplex, Moly's, Reactive Metals, Aluminum, etc.).

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of actual hands-on Quality Control and Quality Assurance knowledge and experience.
  • Welding (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW)
  • Good understanding of API, AWS, and ASME codes.
  • Section IX - Qualification Standard for Welding, Brazing, and Fusing Procedures
  • ASME B31.3 Process Piping working Knowledge

What Will Put You Ahead

  • 5+ years of Quality Control and Quality Assurance experience
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or industrial experience
  • API 510 - Pressure Vessel Inspection Code - In Service Inspections
  • API 579-1 - Fitness-For-Service
  • API 570 - Piping Inspection Code - In-service Inspections
