Construction Project Manager We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive field experience and a minimum of ten (10) full years as a commissioning agent with at least six (6) years on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be proactive, and can work well with others. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of the Construction Project, including overseeing the construction process, managing subcontractors, and ensuring project completion within budget and on time.
Utilize GSA PMIS to track project progress, including RFI, submittals, changes, inspections/testing, and project schedule tracking. Monitor project schedules, critical path milestones and activities, project float, and identify issues and corrective measures needed. Work closely with the client to draft/review changes to the statement of work and provide support cost estimates.
Conduct project inspections to ensure deliverables are on track, document all project deliverables, and maintain punch lists. Manage the organization and management of project or closeout documentation. Create meeting agendas, as well as take and distribute accurate, succinct, and timely meeting minutes.
Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred. Registered Architect, Professional Engineer or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred. Extensive experience as a commissioning agent with at least six (6) years on projects of similar size, scope, and complexity Experience in Transportation Highway construction and/or Land Port of Entry, as well as experience in secure Government buildings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to create meeting agendas and take/distribute accurate meeting minutes. Strong project tracking skills utilizing GSA PMIS for RFI, submittals, changes, inspections/testing, etc. Proven ability to monitor project schedules, critical path milestones and activities, project float, and identify issues and corrective measures needed.
Change management and estimating experience, including drafting/reviewing changes to the statement of work and providing support cost estimates. Excellent project inspection experience inspecting, documenting, and tracking project deliverables, spaces, punch lists. Strong organizational and management skills for project or closeout documentation.
Physical Demands and Environmental Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.
Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
