What you bring to the table:
Exposed Design Group is looking for qualified Production Supervisor’s, as it relates to flooring, to join a growing and exciting team in Phoenix, AZ. While this is an individual role, your primary responsibilities will ensure the quality, timely, and budgeted outcomes of assigned projects while maintaining and building client relationships.
Core responsibilities of our Production Supervisor:
- Contract review and coordination with Project Management to review scope during handoff period and timely execution of assigned job
- Work closely with Production and Project Management team to be sure all timelines and quality requirements are met and/or exceeded.
- Communicates job expectations to installers/team members while adhering to the required procedures of the assigned job.
- Ensures that each employee assigned to a production task is properly trained in the required OSHA safety standards.
· Quality Control, attention to detail, and high level of accuracy for all material installed
- Conduct jobsite inspections to be sure company/manufacturer quality standards and policies are being adhered to (slab evaluations, moisture testing, wall flatness, etc.)
- Documents job progress with inspections and communications and reports daily to assigned Project Manager on findings of inspections/issues/QA concerns, etc.
- Maintains quality assurance by coaching and counseling installation crews
- Maintains job quality by enforcing quality assurance policies and procedures, collaborating with other members of the production staff to develop employee’s overall effectiveness and job quality.
- Accomplishes Construction Production by calculating necessary resources and materials.
- Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards.
- Reviews/manages and inspires productivity by using data driven metrics.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures by complying with state and federal regulations.
- Effective and clear communication with internal and external clients regarding progress and setting clear and achievable expectations
- Quickly address any quality concerns with internal and external clients
- Adherence to office policies and procedures
- Attend and participate in any company or industry training as required
· Duties require good judgment, initiative and ability to deal with last-minute changes or critical issues.
Desired Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Business, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management strongly preferred (or related experience)
· 3+ years of practical experience in a flooring production supervision preferred
· Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to internal client and team to achieve project goals
· Highly organized with strong analytical skills
· Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with external and internal clients
· Ability to supervise all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently
· Ability to successfully communicate with contractors, client’s representatives, and team members both professionally and respectfully
· Ability to satisfactorily identify conflicts and address project and performance concerns.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strong knowledge of production management and accounting principles relating to construction industry
· Solid proficiency in all Microsoft Office Products
· Knowledge of construction project management/accounting-related software applications or ability to learn required project management software.
· Strong leadership attributes
· Ability to inspire expected daily production levels from subordinates
· Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus
