Job Announcement
The City of Chandler Development Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Construction Permits Senior Representative. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits. This position will work a Monday - Friday schedule (downtown office 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) or (designated satellite location 5:00 AM - 2:00 PM). Once settled in with the team, there may be an opportunity to occasionally work remotely after passing the probationary period.

The City of Chandler Development Services team, consisting of 83 positions, provides sound land use planning strategies, responsible design development standards, and high quality, safety compliant infrastructure in all areas of Development Services, including planning, GIS, building safety, development engineering, telecommunications and utility franchise, City fiber, transportation engineering, and customer service and permits.

Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with skills and experience assisting residents, external customers, and contractors with process requirements for obtaining various construction and/or development permits.

Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years of experience in customer service with private development or municipal permit processing; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Desired Qualifications
• ICC Certification as a Permit Technician
• Accela / EPR or other similar permitting software knowledge
• General accounting knowledge
This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
