Construction Materials Testing Field Technician

POSITION TITLE: Construction Materials Testing Field Technician

PAY STATUS: Non-exempt

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field tests and inspections of Construction Materials, such as concrete slump tests, density tests, and soil compaction tests, according to industry standards and specifications.
• Collect samples of Construction Materials and transport them to the laboratory for analysis.
• Record and document test results accurately and communicate findings to supervisors and project managers.
• Operate and maintain testing equipment, including calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure that all testing procedures are conducted in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety protocols and regulations.
• Collaborate with other members of the project team, including engineers, contractors, and architects, to ensure that materials meet project specifications.
• Prepare reports summarizing test results and communicate findings to project stakeholders
• Keep up-to-date with industry standards and changes in technology related to Materials Testing.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn and obtain new certifications.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Strong communication skills
• Detail-oriented
• Able to work independently
• ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade 1
• Nuclear Gauge Certified, Nuclear Gauge Safety
