This is a remote position.
The Freelance Firm is a boutique legal outsourcing platform that connects law firms with experienced, high-level freelance attorneys and paralegals to provide on-demand support for both short-term and ongoing legal projects.
Due to increasing demand, we are now actively seeking qualified freelance attorneys in the area of skilled and experienced contract attorney with a focus on construction and real estate/civil litigation. Bankruptcy experience is an asset.
Types of work may include research, drafting and general assistance with managing files to completion.

The attorney will be engaged in a diverse range of legal activities, including but not limited to:
- Drafting demand letters
- Drafting opinion letters
- Drafting construction demands
- Drafting court documents including pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Performing legal research
- Participating in hearings
- Communicating with opposing parties
- Participating in settlement negotiations
- Engaging with prospective clients
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Salary: $85-$150 per hour
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must be licensed in good standing to practice law in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in practice
- Minimum3- 5 years of construction and litigation. The ideal candidate must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in both state and federal court proceedings. Bankruptcy experience is an asset.
- Strong research and writing skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and be well organized
- Self-starter and able to work independently
