A well-established busy law firm is looking for an entry to mid level Litigation Attorney.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all aspects of the firm's professional activities, including client intake, trial preparation, etc.
- Familiar with state and federal court procedures, forms, deadlines, filing requirements and portals
- Must be able to perform all aspects of litigation, including an array of discovery-related legal work-reviewing documents to identify relevance based on the requirements of case protocols, accurately noting instances of privilege and coding documents appropriately on review databases.
- Assist in the creation of redaction and privilege logs, identifying key documents and exhibits, and assisting with deposition and/or trial preparation.
- Attending depositions, mediations, arbitrations and court appearances
- Draft legal documents - complaints, affidavits, settlement and release agreements
- Record case time and expenses contemporaneously
Qualifications:
- Candidate must be licensed in Florida
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of continuous, specific, and verifiable experience
- Technical knowhow of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc., and Adobe
- Great research skills
- Excellent communications skills, in-person and virtually
- Heightened attention to detail and understanding and meeting deadlines, without compromising efficiency and effectiveness
- Punctual and able to abide by agreed-to office hours
Ideal candidate must have excellent communication and administrative skills, be highly organized and detail-oriented, be able to multitask without sacrificing efficiency, be responsible, and be able to represent the firm, always, in ways that enhance the reputation of the firm.
