Litigation Attorney

Job description

A well-established busy law firm is looking for an entry to mid level Litigation Attorney.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all aspects of the firm's professional activities, including client intake, trial preparation, etc.
• Familiar with state and federal court procedures, forms, deadlines, filing requirements and portals
• Must be able to perform all aspects of litigation, including an array of discovery-related legal work-reviewing documents to identify relevance based on the requirements of case protocols, accurately noting instances of privilege and coding documents appropriately on review databases.
• Assist in the creation of redaction and privilege logs, identifying key documents and exhibits, and assisting with deposition and/or trial preparation.
• Attending depositions, mediations, arbitrations and court appearances
• Draft legal documents - complaints, affidavits, settlement and release agreements
• Record case time and expenses contemporaneously

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be licensed in Florida
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of continuous, specific, and verifiable experience
• Technical knowhow of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc., and Adobe
• Great research skills
• Excellent communications skills, in-person and virtually
• Heightened attention to detail and understanding and meeting deadlines, without compromising efficiency and effectiveness
• Punctual and able to abide by agreed-to office hours
