Job Details:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Lead Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, growing construction company where you will be responsible for supervising all on-site construction, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day challenges on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all construction activities related to the project, ensuring that all work is executed in accordance with the contract requirements, project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
2. Coordinate and direct the activities of subcontractors, ensuring they understand and adhere to the project schedule, safety protocol, and quality expectations.
3. Conduct regular site inspections to verify that work is proceeding as planned and that workmanship conforms to specified standards and codes.
4. Identify potential construction issues and work proactively with the project team to resolve them in a timely manner.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure coordination and timely completion of project.
6. Maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs.
7. Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc.
8. Conduct regular meetings with project team to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Lead Superintendent or a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
3. Strong understanding of construction operations and processes.
4. Exceptional leadership and management skills with a focus on securing strategic results.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
6. Proficient in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
8. Demonstrated knowledge of construction, engineering, and architecture principles.
9. Ability to anticipate project needs with sufficient lead time to avoid delay of production.
10. Familiarity with regulatory construction standards and safety codes.
11. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
12. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
