Camillo Companies offers a competitive internship program in the built-to-rent, single-family rental homes and townhomes industry in Texas.  Our internship offers a variety of disciplines across the business designed to provide a practical work experience and development opportunities for students that want exposure in this rapidly growing industry.

We are seeking motivated and talented individuals to assist with the daily operations of the business, special projects, and various assignments. This is a ten-week paid-internship program that will run from January 22 until March 29. The goal of this program is to help further develop your communication, leadership, and professional skills while gaining valuable real-world experience in a work environment for a dynamic organization.

As an Intern, you will work closely with a Department Lead who will provide you with hands-on projects and daily tasks to help you become career ready. We are seeking a Construction intern that will assist the construction manager in coordinating the on-site construction activities for assigned subdivisions. The Construction Intern will assist in monitoring the completion of each construction phase through performing inspections, scheduling and coordination of activities as directed by the project manager while gaining an overall knowledge of the construction management processes and best practices. 

• Assist Construction manager with the full cycle of the building process.
• Coordinates and monitors scheduled updates, inspection and walk lists for all homes in progress.
• Assists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractors’ construction schedules and weekly payroll processes.
• Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of all homes, including project costs and potential changes.
• Ensures that all work is being performed in accordance EPA and SWPPP requirements.
• Prepare and create project status reports for all business leaders.

• Ability to maintain professionalism and a strong customer-focused demeanor with demanding clientele.
• Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, along with advanced conflict resolution skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills and proficient in English. Must be able to articulate needs and convey information verbally and in writing effectively with employees, customers, supervisors, and co-workers throughout the organization.
• Knowledge of management methods and sound employee relations techniques with an ability to connect to staff, troubleshoot problems and help teams collaborate, as necessary.

• Enrolled and currently attending an Associate Degree program, 2-year program, Community College, or 4-year program at a College or University.
