Job Description
AECOM Tishman is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in New York, NY .
This position is expected to begin in June 2024.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.
Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a similar field with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.
Candidates must have completed two years of study in their program.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion.
Ability to learn new technologies and concepts.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Willing to work a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Offered rate of compensation (New York locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position typically is $20.00 - $28.00/hr .
