Duties
- You provide single-point field inspection of the construction contractor’s work representing the Construction Manager in the field.
- You will, monitor, inspect and document the construction contractor’s work and prepare a comprehensive written Daily Report with your observations of work activities, an accounting of labor and equipment resources utilized, a statement of general compliance or non-compliance with the work, etc.
- You will communicate directly, both verbally and written, with construction contractors regarding conformance or non-conformance to standards, plans, specifications and codes.
- You will ensure Contractor prepares prompt requests for information (RFI’s) for questions that may affect the construction schedule.
- You will review project submittals, analyze and document any construction issues, and maintain master as-built and record drawing information maintained by the construction contractor.
- You will plan and coordinate all field testing and inspections in accordance with the Contract Documents.
- You’ll work with Construction Manager to implement methodology and criteria to resolve any non-compliance notices previously issued.
- You will review and submit all test reports for inclusion in turnover documentation to Owner.
- You will assist with observing, documenting and approving of authorized Force Account change order work performed on a time and materials basis.
- You will review the monthly progress pay estimate submitting by the construction contractor to verify requests for payment of materials, percent complete and earned value.
- You will prepare and monitor a project punch-list for deficient or uncompleted work by the construction contractor.
Qualifications
- A technical degree/diploma/certificate in a related program; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Previous experience is preferred but not required.
- Understand and interpret contract documents and test plan for a designated Work Package for a specific construction activity.

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
