Responsibilities
- Manages the development, communication, and reconciliation for insurance supplementing and estimating.
- Some in the Field work required
- Serves as the liaison between the insurance company and our clients.
- Receives supplement requests from Project Managers and creates estimates for insurance companies supported by photos, building codes, and supplement information.
- Understands the scope of work to bid and ensures timely completion of estimates.
- Receives material orders from production and manages bid pricing from vendors for estimating.
- Spearheads all aspects of estimates and purchase order preparation while maintaining profit margins.
- Assesses discrepancies, negotiates, and reconciles supplements with insurance adjusters.
- Communicates claim status – creates, updates, and submits invoices to insurance companies for work completed and ensures depreciation release.
- Utilizes Xactimate, supplier bids, and other resources to estimate materials and labor costs.
- Conducts retrospective cost reviews on prior estimates/jobs to compile and maintains historical costs on site construction for profitability measures and use on future cost estimates.
- Produce Project Manager sales reports for bi-weekly sales volume tracking
- Creates roofing & siding material take-offs for production
- Ensures the proper scope of work matches the insurance estimate
- Utilizes Acculynx CRM for estimates, to organize material orders, and collaborate with team members
- Other duties as assigned.
- This position reports to the Director of Sales.
- Option to set leads for commission during storm season.
- Reports to the director of sales
Qualifications & Skills
- Ability to develop cost estimates and read drawings and plans are a plus.
- A solid understanding of residential construction processes is preferred.
- Xactimate or other estimating software experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to have difficult conversations with insurance companies and to negotiate estimates.
- Able to maintain strict profit margins with each project per company guidelines.
- Experince in construction or drafting is a plus.
- Experience in psychology a plus
- Experince as a paralegal, or work in a law office is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
