Job Description
Established design-build contractor seeking an Estimator Assistant.
Applicants must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic. Applicants must be knowledgeable and experienced in the residential construction industry. Applicants must also be proficient at multi-tasking, communication and meeting deadlines.
Estimator Job Duties Include:
- Design-Build project estimating using Timberline Software
- Read and fully understand plans, specifications and project specific documentation
- Ability to estimate preliminary plans and multiple projects at one time
- Solicit and review pricing and quotes from subcontractors, vendors, & suppliers
- Ability to communicate clearly with management, designers, subcontractors
- Maintain dialog with designers estimating process and track plan changes
- Ability to provide cost savings, value engineering or project enhancements
- Produce detailed project Take-Offs
- Preparing RFPs and Scope Letters
- Create and Maintain Organized Project Files
- Assist Project Management division which may include project start up, submittals, RFI's, change orders, project close out, and job costing
- Other miscellaneous Estimating and Administrative duties as needed
Requirements:
-Minimum 1 Years in residential construction
-Strong computer skills; thorough knowledge of Timberline & Microsoft Office
-Strong analytical and logic skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of precision on detailed work
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
