Construction Estimator for Commercial Construction

Qualifications
Knowledgeable in construction methods and practices, including pricing, equipment, and labor costs:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field prefer some estimation experience.
· 1-4 years of experience working as a Construction Estimator or a previous estimation experience in a construction field.
· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
· Experience with Procore or other estimating software takeoff tools, ex Estimator 360, Buildxact, Sage,
· Experience with Microsoft Excel or similar software.
· Ability to create reports on cost data.
· Experience with understanding construction drawings and requirements.
Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
Responsibilities
· Analyze drawings, construction documents, specifications, and project requirements to understand and identify project requirements
• Accurately estimate construction project costs, including materials, labor, and equipment
· Assemble accurate and well organized estimates.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
· Provide detailed quantity take offs.
· Assist with reviewing and evaluating sub-contractor quotations on construction projects
· Preserve relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and clients.
· Maintain bid documents and track changes.
· Prepare pre-bid RFI’s.
· Create risk logs.
· Maintain unit cost data base.
· Distribute bid documents to sub-contractors and suppliers and monitor bid list.
· Present cost estimates and project details to management and operations personnel.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to review and improve cost estimates
· Attend Prebid Meetings.
• Monitor project costs throughout the lifespan of the construction project to ensure compliance with budget and time constraints
· Assist with developing scopes of work.
• Review subcontractor proposals and work with subcontractors to receive competitive pricing
• Prepare and review final proposal pricing
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
