Position: Construction Sales Manager /Business Development Manager
Job Location: Buffalo Grove, IL
Pay: $75,000 - $125,000
MixOnSite USA, Inc. (MOS) is a nationwide contractor specializing in the production and installation of Geofill Low Density Cellular Concrete for a wide variety of construction applications.
We are seeking a self-motivated, energetic, and results oriented individual. Please apply if you are self-confident, ambitious, have a positive attitude and can effectively manage a variety of situations and projects on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Customer Relations - maintain current and develop new customers.
- Lead Generation - uncover opportunities in the Private Sector.
- In-person presentations to engineering/contracting firms and present online webinars.
- Handle Sales Cycle: Leads, Estimating, Quote Projects, Contract Projects
- Perform plan takeoffs to obtain quantities and summarize scope of work.
- Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand the constructability of projects, if required.
- Understand plans and specifications to identify the type and class of material and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Communicate and follow-up with suppliers to solicit quotes for each project, when required.
- Maintain detailed notes in ACT! database and orderly documents in project files.
- Conduct hand-off meetings with production personnel to review scope of work, manpower requirements, equipment allocation, work sequence, special requirements and safety.
- Review job analysis for costs and profitability.
- Limited travel for projects, tradeshows, conferences, and presentations.
Qualifications:
- 4-year BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar discipline is preferred but not required.
- Experience as a Construction Estimator or Office/Field Engineer is required.
- Experience in Sales is preferred, but not required.
- Must be interested in heavy civil projects.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail orientated.
- Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Office, common contracting procedures and practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
This position is located at our MOS headquarters in Buffalo Grove, IL. We offer excellent compensation and benefits package. The successful candidate must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time. EEO/M/F
