Construction Deputy Project Director

KBR is looking for a Project Director - Construction to support the Sonangol's multi-billion-dollar grass roots Lobito Refinery Project in Angola Africa. This role will support KBR's Project Management Construction Team project and the Owner with Construction site supervision and oversight.
**This position will initially start in KBR's Houston Office Center, will be assigned for a short time in Beijing China, and then will mobilize to site in Angola**
Responsibilities:
- Support KBR's Site Construction Project Director in monitoring and oversight in all aspects of the Owner's EPC Contractor's works for compliance to approved plans, specifications, drawings, construction schedule, quality, safety, materials management, project construction progress and reporting, change orders required
- Provide daily, weekly, monthly reports summarizing progress, problems observed, delays with suggested corrective actions
- Ensure EPC Contractor adheres to all of the construction requirements included in the EPC Contractor's contract with Owner
- Maintain oversight of EPC's Contractor's Construction Team project planning, activities, constructability reviews along with any necessary design changes, rigging plans, construction means and methods for the execution of the works
- Ensure the EPC's Project's Construction Execution and Plan complies to the EPC's Contractual requirements of Owner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 8 + years of progressive related experience
