This position is responsible for leading and supporting a dedicated assembly team, assessing performance and planning team projects. The conformal coat operation Team Leader plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective and efficient application of Conformal Coating to electronic components and assemblies.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:
- Lead and motivate team members while attaining the company's objectives of safety, quality, and throughput
- Coordinate daily production activities to meet customer commits
- Ensure quality of workmanship to meet IPC standard requirements
- Hold and conduct daily Kaizen team meetings to communicate issues, identify areas to improve throughput, efficiencies and track actions required to meet improvements
- Manage individual performance of team members including reviewing and evaluating performance through reviews, setting objectives & expectations and developing team members to their fullest potential
- Communicate with other members of the team to ensure efficiency and high level of productivity on our production lines
- Identifying talent and developing talent pipeline
- Assess team member skill levels and ensure appropriate training is provided
- Identify areas for cross-training opportunities
- Direct communication with internal team members, leaders, and other stakeholders regarding delivery commitments and production requirements

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years experience of chemical handling and Conformal Coating materials is required
- In depth knowledge of Conformal Coating processes, materials, and equipment
- Supervise and lead a team of conformal coat operators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance
- Experience operating automated machinery
- Experience working on SMT/TH or Mix Tech assemblies
- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation
- Oversee the maintenance and calibration of coating equipment to ensure reliability and safety
- Manage the inventory of Conformal Coating materials and supplies, ensuring an adequate stock is available for production.
- Solid understanding in IPC 610-A or ANSI-J technical standards
- Ability to resolve conflict amongst team members without escalation
- Ability to identify process improvements needed to support build requirements and develop a plan to meet delivery commits
- Good computer skills: experience in using an ERP or MRP is an advantage; familiar with MS Office suite is required
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Capable to multi-task and work in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Physical Demands
- May, on occasion, spend an extended amount of time standing or walking in a production environment
- Candidate must possess enough strength to safely maneuver around product up to 25lbs without injury to themselves or others
Mental Demands
- Capable of accepting and completing work assignments with minimal supervision in a highly motivated manner, fast paced and high-pressure situations
Working Conditions
- Team members are required to wear ESD and safety gears while working in safety sensitive areas
