Job Title: Configuration Manager III (LS)

Job Description
SUMMARY
The Configuration Manager III (CM) is responsible for contributing to operation and maintenance of a Learning Management System (LMS), Learning Assessment System (LAS), and Learning Records Store (LRS) system, providing the ability to deliver training content in a virtual learning environment, conduct assessments, and capture/track student performance metrics for approximately 2,000 Active Duty and Reserve Sailors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Track changes to all hardware, software, required services and documentation under change control.
- Ensure proper baseline identification of configuration items, perform periodic audits, and provide verification of version release configuration items.
- Ensure compliance with CM process standards, plans, and procedures.
- Participate in Engineering Review Board (ERB)/Integrated Product Team (IPT) team meetings and attend Configuration Control Board meetings with management and other functional groups to obtain information about and authorizations for the release of configuration items, drawings and baseline changes as needed.
- Accurately enter change requests into the configuration management tool and manage information throughout the CM lifecycle.
- Work closely with the Operations Team, Software Developers, Cybersecurity Engineers, and Government Product Owners to assure that system and software changes are tracked and documented.
- Oversees configurations for applications, software, hardware assets, documentation, and identifies, organizes, and controls software and hardware configuration changes.
- Creation, management, and maintenance of each project specific Configuration Management Plan(s).
- Manage content and update configuration item lists.
- Create and maintain reports while meeting deadlines.
- Support preparation and CM status reporting for engineering technical events.
- Participate in application testing as needed.
- Work with inter-functional teams to streamline processes. Identifies and drives process excellence.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess or be able to obtain an active U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, and work/military experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience working in software system development and sustainment as a CM Lead, Specialist, or Administrator.
- Knowledge of Agile software development process.
- Must be skilled in data and spreadsheet analysis and presentation of information including graphic software such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Hands-on experience utilizing a change management tool (e.g., Micro Focus Dimensions CM, JIRA) that supports an enterprise CM framework (e.g., version control, third-party version control support, code migrations, file merging, branching, custom reports generation, impact analysis, third-party tool integration, and roll back capabilities) as well as tool administration and configuration.
- Prior experience working with online/distributed environments.
- Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of the Navy (DON) applications and support, or prior military service experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to perform diverse tasks while operating under time constraints.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.
- Be able to work independently and proactively with little supervision, but also must work well with others in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

WORK SCHEDULE
Full-Time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.
TRAVEL
Potential for travel, less than 10%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS
Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver’s license and be insurable on the company’s automobile insurance policy. Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training. The expected amount of driving time for work related travel is low.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is expected to be remote; however, the company reserves the right to require onsite work for employees living within a 60-mile radius of a Florida Katmai office.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, bending, stooping, crouching, and lifting weights up to 20 pounds. Frequently uses hands/fingers for manipulation of keyboard and mouse. - Pay is $90k - $115k per year.
