Form of workSev1Tech is seeking a Configuration Manager to support the Program Executive Office (PEO) Manpower, Logistics, and Business Solutions (MLB) which manages the Logistics (LOG) Information Technology (IT) portfolio. This portfolio is composed of 300+ afloat and ashore IT systems/applications with 150,000+ users across all Naval Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) and Naval Operational Forces (NOF) to include ships, carriers, submarines, USN/USMC aviation squadrons, and Naval Expeditionary Forces. The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is a joint user of LOG IT capabilities and is part of the program requirements. LOG IT enables essential business operations for various capability groups.
The Configuration Manager will be member of the Configuration Management Team, and will be responsible for automating and executing verification, validation and testing of application and systems software.
Job duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Interface with government lead and Chief Engineer to perform CM-related activities (research and implmenation) in support of tool streamlining, integration, and automation.
- Assist DevSecOps Engineers with the automation of CM-related tasks.
- Manage and execute CM-related tasks for the project operating under the DevSecOps methodology.
- Manage deliveries across multiple environments (pre-production to production ashore and afloat), including the promotion of code as it pertains to CM.
- Create, manage, and report on CM-related activities, including system configurations/audits (source code versions for COTS, GOTS, and customized modules); manage emergency releases.
- Perform, identify, and track differences across multiple environments.
- Publish and enforce configuration management policies (including workflows)
- Work with the client's Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
- Update project artifacts as needed, including SOPs (Tier 3, Release Management, and CM).
- Document pipeline configurations as needed.
- Participate in sprint planning and related activities.
- This position will have heavy focus on configuration management process and tool streamlining, integration, and automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- MUST have Current US DoD Secret level clearance.
- Maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Minimum eight (8) years' experience as a test engineer.
- Assesses proposed changes of processes, systems, and or product design using knowledge of engineering, production, systems, and procurement activities to determine overall effect, and coordinates recording of changes and modifications for management control.
- Talks with user to establish change-reporting procedure, and prepares directives for change authorization and documentation by company and/or subcontractor personnel.
- Examines proposed design/process changes to prepare report of overall effect for management action, using knowledge of engineering, manufacturing, and procurement activities.
- Converses with department managers to obtain additional information or to interpret policies and procedures for reporting changes in product design or process.
- May audit subcontractor's inspection or technical documents preparation procedure to verify compliance with contract requirements.
- Coordinates activities of personnel preparing manual or automated records of design/process change documents and inspection.
Experience with Winchill.
Experience with Teamcenter.
