Configuration Manager

Work you'll do:
As a Configuration Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Assess the existing Configuration Management (CM) tools and processes.
• Analyzing the current methods and tools used for managing changes in software and systems. The goal is to understand their effectiveness, identify any gaps or inefficiencies, and ascertain the need for improvements or replacements.
• Recommend and instantiate new tools and processes as needed.
• Document new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure understanding across new tools and processes that are initiated.
• Train staff on new processes such as conducting workshops, training sessions, creating training materials, and one-on-one coaching if needed.
• Manage the configuration of software programs. This includes monitoring the software's performance, carrying out necessary updates or modifications, and making sure that all changes are documented and communicated to relevant parties.

Qualifications:
Required:

• US Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years' experience with configuration management
• 5+ years' experience creating process documentation and training staff.
• 3+ years' experience evaluating new products and technologies to determine efficiency and value.

Preferred:

• Ability to be in the office 3 days a week.
• The ability to travel up to 25% if needed.
• Previous experience working in the public sector is highly preferred.
