As a Configuration Center Technician, you will serve as a key contributor to the configuration team by performing onsite Imaging Services, Kitting Services, Rack/Stack services, Asset Tagging Services, and Device Staging Services.

- Perform basic hardware configuration on routers and switches
- Provide remote access to other ePlus engineers and/or customers as needed
- Apply asset tags to devices and record data into spreadsheets
- Install hardware into a cabinet, following detailed rack elevation diagrams
- Follow cabling diagrams, installing network cables from servers to top of rack switches
- Perform imaging services of desktops and laptops
- Perform kitting services consisting of combining laptops, mice, keyboards, and other peripherals as needed into boxes for shipment
- Understand the different types of network cables and power cables
- Troubleshoot and perform remediation repairs; escalate to Sr. Engineers, as needed
- Serve the customer to ePlus’ standards
- Organized and responsive to both customer facing emails and internally within ePlus
- Work towards achieving industry-specific certifications: i.e. MCP, CCNA

Education and Experience:
- High School degree with 3-5yrs experience
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred, with 2-4 years of hands-on experience in IT
- Industry certifications i.e.: MCP, CCNA, Network+
Position Specifics:
The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20.00 and $23.00 hourly; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Physical Requirements of Position:
Ability of finger dexterity to be used primarily to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together. Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands and / or fingers. Speech ability must be at a level where one must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly. Hearing ability must be at a level to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Visual ability must be average with ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery. Physical strength for sedentary work with sitting most of the time. May have to exert or lift up to 10 – 20 pounds of force occasionally and active work that could include climbing a ladder and using power tools. All work is performed Onsite in the Configuration Center.
