Eagle Harbor Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Configuration and Data Lead to support EHS and our government customer in Chantilly, VA. This is a Remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply Configuration Management (CM) methodologies during the software lifecycle from initial requirements to system end-of-life.
  • Coordinates Application Configuration Management activities among program staff.
  • Able to suggest application best practices for incorporating configuration in .Net Framework and .Net Core applications.
  • Develops and implements processes to support functional testing feature validation across multiple environments.
  • Develop and modify CM plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system.
  • Execute the CM process which includes operating the defined and agreed process, ensuring it interfaces with all other relevant processes, reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the process, performing process audits, and managing the process improvement cycle.
  • Use and recommend automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures.
  • Participate and lead continuous improvement for Configuration Management.
  • The work week generally consists of 40 hours on-site including core office hours, with some after-hours and on-call support as needed. Additional hours and after-hours support are required periodically.
Education and Experience:
  • Four-year technical degree such as Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Combination of at least 10 years of relevant work experience with progress towards a bachelor or graduate technical degree
Preferred:
  • At least 10 years’ experience managing large, custom enterprise system configurations and test data management across multiple environments in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Bachelor’s Degree and six years of relevant experience OR 14 years of equivalent military and/or civilian experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience developing and implementing Configuration Management principles, processes, and training in the areas of configuration identification, control, data management (to include library/repository management), product release and delivery, and configuration audits.
  • Experience with .Net application and IIS development
  • Ability to interpret, execute, and make recommendations for improvements to program and organizational processes.
  • Experience with a CM System (change management, source control, data management, etc.).
  • Experience collaborating across the Program Management Office to proactively manage CM risks, opportunities, and overall deliverables.
  • Familiar with SQL and noSQL data models
  • Experience with multi-environment application and Data Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with Agile DevOps principles, tools, and practices.
  • A successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
