Who we want… (Requirements)
- The new team member is required to have bachelor’s or technical/associate degree in Civil or Construction Engineering, Construction Science or Management, or a related field; and ten years related successful, progressive experience in concrete construction; or the equivalent total of both experience and education totaling fifteen years.
- The new team member must be familiar with the special requirements with the nature of this work.
- The selected candidate will have excellent communication skills.
- Candidate will be required to travel up to 100% of the time.
- The new team member will possess an in-depth working knowledge of ACI and ASTM standards related to concrete construction.
- They will possess strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- The candidate must be committed to maintaining the highest quality standards in all aspects of construction and be willing to make difficult judgments when necessary and substantiated.
- Current licensure as a professional engineer and certification as an ACI Concrete Quality Technical Manager is preferred, but not required.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)
- Through coordination with the Project Manager/Superintendent, directs activities and coordinates the day-to-day quality control system and procedures for the company, from project start up to completion.
- Prepare project-specific Quality Control Plans based upon the NexGen QC Plan template and QC Manual.
- Coordinate with Pre-Construction to review and manage pre-construction submittals. Ensure approved submittals and review for discrepancies.
- Attend project pre-construction and pre-phase of work meetings to discuss the QC Plan and review Lessons Learned in the presence of subcontractors and manufacturers.
- Manage daily activities of the quality control program.
- Train team members in the use of the quality control program and support question resolution pertaining to the program use.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of industry standards and specifications.
- Must be prepared to discuss quality management, industry standards and specifications, lessons learned, QC Plan established hold points, etc.

- Responsible for approving subcontractor and vendor quality plans.
- Ensure the quality program provides a fair and effective monitoring of the overall quality of the organization on a regular and timely basis.
- Accumulate data from the quality control program for company utilization (for marketing, training, and areas of improvement/best practices).
- Conduct jobsite inspections/audits to ensure that quality controls are in place and report findings to the Manager, Quality/Technical Solutions.
- Work with Project Managers, and Superintendents to ensure the quality performance and installation of materials.
- May be required to temporarily monitor projects while others are away from the job and help to provide coverage on jobsites from time to time.
- Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance with industry and company standards.
- This position has authority to stop work if required due to quality-related matters.
- Participate in industry associations and institutes as assigned to bring value to NexGen Concrete.

Overtime may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will indirectly manage subcontractors, and directly manage Concrete Site Quality Managers as assigned. This role will have authority of overall quality on projects.
