Johnson & Johnson Inc. is recruiting for Senior Manager, Quality Ops Analytics Leader, located in Raritan, NJ. Candidates near a Johnson and Johnson office in India, Switzerland, Belgium, and US will be considered. This position requires up to 20% travel (domestic and internationally).

Per our J&J Flex Policy, the expectation for this position is to work in the nearest Johnson and Johnson office 3-4 days per week and work from home 1-2 days per week.

Enterprise Quality is a comprehensive organization within J&J that focuses on ensuring the highest standards of quality & compliance. It encompasses a Quality Operations division that handles Computer System Validation (CSV), QMS Management, and Commercial Quality Shared Services, including specialized support for Transportation Operations and Temperature Control. Additionally, it includes a Transformation Office dedicated to steering strategic imperatives and enhancing the Quality & Compliance organization's strategy through initiatives like Data Strategy, Automated Product Release, and Digitalization of Quality Management Systems. The group further comprises a Data & Digital Strategy function tasked with developing and executing a holistic digital and data strategy to improve quality and compliance, covering areas such as Data Foundations, AI/ML & IoT technologies, Quality & Compliance Innovation, and Digital Assets validation. To facilitate the deployment of these strategic initiatives, the group employs two Deployment Offices for the MedTech and Innovative Medicines segments and maintains a global presence through three regional leaders managing operations in Asia Pacific (ASPAC), Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), and the Americas.

Quality Operations oversees the Quality Management Systems for J&J Technology Services (JJT-TS) and Enterprise Functions (MQSA, DI&T, Commercial Quality Shared Services etc.) and leads the Commercial Quality Shared Services functions of temperature control and transportation quality operations. Quality Operations (QO) collaborates with the EQ Deployment and Transformation Offices to establish and maintain frameworks for  validation of the technology digital stack from infrastructure to software  in accordance with J&J’s Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Computer System Validation (CSV) Framework, assuring compliance across the enterprise with applicable global regulations, advising on quality matters, and assisting with closing compliance gaps related to audits and inspections. Additionally, Quality Operations drives the acceleration of data-driven validation approaches for new technologies.

The Senior Manager of Quality Operations Analytics holds accountability for the development and execution of the Quality Operations Analytics strategy, aimed at optimizing internal business processes, enhance efficiency, and support informed strategic decision-making within the organization.

•          Take ownership of the strategic direction, management, and coordination of Operational Analytics to drive Quality Operations, involving the comprehensive gathering, analysis, and reporting of metrics.

•          Act as the primary point of contact and process owner for defining and expanding the analytics framework, data collection, and operational reporting within Quality Operations

•          Supervise and prioritize Quality Operations metrics requests across the organization.

•          Proactively identify new and emerging technologies to enhance organizational and process insights, fostering a culture of innovation.

•          Design and implement comprehensive dashboards to provide transparent visibility to both internal and external stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.

•          Champion an inclusive work environment aligned with the company’s values, promoting diversity and equity.

•          Lead globally diverse teams, fostering collaboration and inclusivity to drive organizational success.

•          Serve as a trusted partner across the EQ organization, collaborating closely with senior leadership to provide recommendations for continuous improvements tailored to meet the needs of stakeholders at the highest level.

•          As a Senior Manager, this role requires exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and collaboration skills to drive critical capability for running the Quality Operations organization.

•          Develop and maintain an effective working partnership with senior management, business partners and key stakeholders

•          Collaborate with other leaders and staff within Quality Operations group to ensure each function is executed in an efficient manner

•          Ensure timely reports of status, metrics and time sheets as required by the Quality Operations organization

•          Ensure timely completion of assigned training and expense reports

Qualifications

Required:

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field required

·         A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical/med device/biotech industry, with direct experience in stakeholder management

·         A minimum of 3 years of people management experience

·         Advanced problem-solving skills to assist in maintaining project progress and on design issues

·         Excellent intellect, strategic and big picture thinking ability, complemented by operational and business planning orientation

·         Experience in the application of advanced analytics (predictive, prescriptive) and associated technologies/techniques (simulation, machine learning, etc.)

·         Strategic thinking and foresight to conceptualize new solutions that accelerate Quality Operations

·         Experience in the application of analytical techniques and associated toolsets

·         Knowledge of data management/governance techniques as well as preparation in support of analysis

·         Must have the ability to perform work with a high degree of independence in terms of self-management of a large variety of tasks and initiatives regarding Quality

·         Outstanding executive presence, communication, and facilitation skills to senior leadership

·         Strong Decision-Making abilities, required to make decisions on technical and management issues

·         Excellent listening and analytical skills

·         Ability to understand businesses process quickly

·         Strong project management, planning and organization skills from planning to implementation

·         Strong Critical Analysis and decision-making skills

·         Strong Customer Centric mindset, understands one’s stakeholders and their needs and priorities and can drive service excellence by focusing on customer value

·         Strong level of proactivity and resourcefulness to solve problems

·         Ability to team with others and drive towards a common goal

·         Sets clear performance standards and drives to results

·         Works effectively in a virtual team environment

·         In-depth industry related knowledge – Quality Systems best practices and policies

·         Familiarity and awareness of cybersecurity and privacy principles and implications for quality and risk management

Preferred:

·         Master’s degree                                        

·         Life Sciences Industry Experience

·         Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
