Concrete Laborer/Finisher

CONSTRUCTION CONCRETE FINISHER/LABORER

***MINIMUM 4 YEARS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION.

**Position Responsibilities (key duties, scope of position, goals, expectations, skill requirements, and travel requirements)

• Finish Various Types of Concrete Surfaces.
• Form & Grade for Concrete Surfaces
• Install Rebar Reinforcement
• Install Various Types of Curbing
• Signals concrete deliverer to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete.
• Set/Strip concrete forms an ensuring forms are correct depth and slope.
• Moves discharge chute of truck to direct concrete into forms.
• Spreads concrete into sections of forms with rake or shovel.
• Levels concrete to specified depth and workable consistency, with hand held screed and floats to bring water to surface and produce soft topping.
• Smooths and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete.
• Finishes concrete surfaces, or wets and rubs concrete with abrasive stone to impact finish.
• Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces, and patches holes with fresh concrete or epoxy compound.
• Molds expansion joints and edges.
• Produces rough concrete surface with broom.
• Breaks up and repairs old concrete surfaces.

**Position Dimensions (i.e., communication skills, planning, teamwork, technical knowledge, leadership, initiative)

• Ensure work site is maintained and that equipment is running properly
• Assist work site foreman with all tasks as needed, follow instructions and perform duties as assigned.
• Safely operate equipment and perform mechanic and general labor duties
• Able to lift up to 70+ pounds
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain good housekeeping around the work site.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and Monday through Friday including Saturdays as the business requires.
• Maintain equipment in proper working order.
• Maintain an effective system of communications with supervisors, drivers and crew, peers, operators, and customers serviced.
• Use safe practices in all activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
