We are growing and are looking for an entry level skilled and customer-focused Computer Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Computer Technician, you will be responsible for providing excellent technical support, performing diagnostics, and building PCs for our clients. This position requires exceptional verbal and written communication skills, a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Computer Technician, and a passion for technology.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional technical support and assistance to clients in person, over the phone, or via email.
- Build and configure custom PCs based on customer specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to our technical guidelines.
- Conduct thorough diagnostics, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and provide effective solutions for various computer problems. We will all help each other during diagnostics phase to double check each other’s results.
- Install, upgrade, and configure Windows 10/11 or macOS operating system.
- Perform hardware repairs, replacements, and upgrades as necessary. (Motherboards, LCD Screens, Storage Drive, and more)
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, repairs, and solutions provided.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and advancements in computer hardware and software.
-Assist during networking projects as needed (making network cables, repairing and more)
- Keeping your designated area clean at the end of the week and assist with other cleaning duties as needed
-Manage and respond to a large volume of emails, multitasking effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Computer Technician or similar experience.
-Minimum of 6 months of experience repairing Apple devices (MacBooks or iMacs series)
- Some networking experience preferred
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in building and configuring custom PCs.
- Solid understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications.
- Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills with a customer
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time.
- Adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to adapt to different situations.
Training:
You must have an opened mind and a strong willingness to learn. You will be trained and tested to keep you accountable on current technologies. We will provide all tools and a dedicated workstation and work desk.
Preferred Days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday to begin with. At times we will ask for you to come on additional days depending on upcoming projects
