General Responsibilities: Under the direction of the System Administrator, the Computer Technician helps support and maintain agency wide IT computer and network-related needs.
General Requirements: Two years minimum experience with computers. Completion of minimum required Agency Training within 6 months of volunteering.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
I. NETWORK / SERVER ASSISTANCE
A. Runs Active Directory in a Windows Server environment
B. Maintain integrity of the IP network, file server deployment & security
II. DATA / COMPUTER MANAGEMENT
A. Help ensure that all computer and network systems work together properly
B. Assist with phone system, and remote IP based CCTV security systems
C. Maintain individual machines, such as drivers and settings of personal computers as well as printers
D. Perform Software Updates & Security Patches on all agency computer servers and
workstations
E. Deploy new desktops and laptops with customized Windows operating system
configurations
III. GENERAL
A. Troubleshoot problems reported by users
B. Ability to analyze and isolate various technical issues
C. Management of technology
IV. OTHER TASKS REQUESTED BY THE SYTEMS ADMINISTRATOR AND/OR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR WITHIN THE SCOPE OF TRI-VALLEY HAVEN’S MISSION
