TITLE: COMPUTER TECHNICIAN I SALARY: Classified ScheduleQualifications: Five years of systems and/or programming experience; minimum of five (5) years of experience and knowledge of skills necessary to perform in all audio visual, electronics, and computer technology areas. Any equivalent combination of experience, training and or education; ORAssociates degree in computer science or related field AND four years systems and/or programming experience; OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND three years systems and/or programming experience.REPORTS TO: Director of TechnologyJOB GOAL(S): To perform activities of audio/visual, electronics, computer technology, website management, technology operations at varied District locations.PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Provide technical support to computer users of specialized and highly technical software packages, programming languages, computing equipment and local area networks.2.
Identifies, reviews, and recommends software and/or equipment to meet user needs; answer questions or resolves problems.3. Installs and/or assists in installation of software packages and/or equipment including configuration of software hardware.4. Plans, schedules, coordinates, develops and implements computer training services for campus users.5.
Provides technical expertise for network solutions and maintains Novell Networks, all audio and visual, electronic systems, computer systems and other equipment.6. Capable of maintaining an accurate work order history, including all corrective and preventive maintenance jobs.7. Capable of working with preventive maintenance schedules and work orders in maintaining high standards in assigned areas.8.
Capable of inspecting, diagnosing, reporting, repairing, recording and maintaining all audio-visual equipment, electronic and computer systems and other equipment as required.9. Capable of District website maintenance and updates.10. Capable of technology maintenance at assigned District offices with emphasis on audio and video communications.11.
Capable of assisting with management of district social media accounts with emphasis on moderation of social media activities published by CRUHSD.12. Any other school/district work dealing with technology as assigned by the superintendent or designee.13. The District reserves the right to amend this job description as necessary.14.
