Join the vibrant academic community at National Park College as a Computer Science Instructor in a dynamic 9-month position. We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to deliver high-quality instruction in computer networking and programming.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Computer Science Instructor, you will:
- Maintain a teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester, with the option to teach an overload or during the summer based on student demand.
- Enhance student success through participation in the College and divisional assessment process.
- Contribute to the accreditation process by crafting self-studies, managing external reporting chart data, and meeting reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate on committees as necessary.
- Hold regular office hours for student engagement.
- Undertake other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
We are looking for candidates with expertise in:
- Windows Client and Server Operating Systems
- Team Dynamics
- Computer Architecture
- AI, Machine Learning, Human-Computer Interaction
- Project Management
Programming language proficiency in one or more of the following is essential:
- C++
- Python
- Java
- PHP
- SQL
Education and Experience:
To qualify, you should have:
- A master's degree in Computer Science or a master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Computer Science.
- Three years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
- Familiarity with technology tools such as D2L, Brightspace, or other Learning Management Systems (LMS).
