  • Engineer, perform and execute Finite Element Analyses (FEA) of full vehicle Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) (passenger car, truck and sport utility vehicle) in adherence with U.S. and global Noise and Vibration (N&V), durability and fatigue performance and quasi-static crashworthiness of Body in White (BIW) light weight/high strength steel structures in compliance with regulations (U.S. and Rest of World (RoW)) defined by U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 216 Roof Crush Resistance, FMVSS No. 207 Seating Systems, FMVSS No. 210 Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages and Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) recommendations/metrics for roof crush resistance load cases at virtual assessment gates.
  • UseANSA, MetaPost, HyperWorks, OptiStruct, and LS-DYNA tools to perform Finite Element (FE) simulations of full vehicle Body Structures.
  • Design, fine tune and improve Body in White (BIW) and Chassis structures based on vehicle Noise and Vibration (N&V), durability, and fatigue performance requirements.

Additional Description

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Analyst or related role.
  • Must also have experience with: performing or executing Finite Element Analyses (FEA) of passenger vehicles to meet quasi-static crashworthiness performance of Body in White (BIW) light weight/high strength steel structures in compliance with U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 216 Roof Crush Resistance and Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) metrics for roof crush resistance load cases at virtual assessment gates, or related.
