The WACO Aircraft Team is where WACO's passion for excitement, beauty, and aviation come together to make dreams a reality. WACO turns bold visions into living, breathing, flying (and sometimes edible) works of art. We design airplanes, restore, and upgrade aircraft and even have a restaurant.
WACO Aircraft is the world's only producer of NEW FAA and EASA-certified open cockpit, enclosed sport biplanes, and the FAA Production Certificate holder. The first WACO YMF Classic rolled off the assembly line and received FAA certification under the original WACO-type certificate in March 1986. The WACO is not a rebuild or a kit plane but a brand-new FAA-certified production aircraft with such improvements as sturdy 4130 steel for the fuselage frame, modern hydraulic toe brakes, and the latest avionics. In 1991, the first WACO YMF Super was introduced, offering the modern-day barnstormer additional improvements such as more internal width, legroom, increased useful load, a balanced rudder, and a large front entry door. The new WACO has been greeted with unabashed enthusiasm for artisanship, quality, and the pure fun of true flying. Today's production aircraft offers a complete array of updated features, making it the finest sport biplane anywhere. The WACO YMF Super will fly into your heart and give you a lifetime of fun and memories.
