Regional Eye Center (REC) in Hutchinson, Minnesota. Effective today, REC becomes our fourth practice in the state of Minnesota and the 12th member of our growing UVP community.
Founded in 1990 by Drs. Michael Merck and Christopher Wallyn (friends from medical school), REC has a team of 35 professionals including two optometrists. Together, the team delivers full-service ophthalmology and optometry services, providing family eye care and a wide range of medical and surgical care, including pediatrics. The practice includes an optical retail center, the ophthalmology clinic, and an ASC. All three services operate out of the same building, located 60 miles west of downtown Minneapolis.
