Job Description
Summary: Seeking an experienced Composites Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development and improvements for a leading supplier in the rail, construction, and heavy truck industries.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Composites, Plastics, Mechanical, Industrial, or similar engineering field.
Minimum of 5 years direct manufacturing experience.
Certified Composites Technician (CCT) Certificate.
Experience in Lean manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen or other Lean tools is desirable.
Solidworks and AutoCad experience would be advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
General knowledge or experience with the following processes: Vacuum Infusion, Resin Transfer Molding, RTM & LRTM, Reaction Injection Molding - RIM, Compression Molding, SMC, Fiberglass Laminate Design, Thermoforming, Material Testing.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret shop prints and drawings.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and document process, tooling materials and design for composite products.
Optimize productivity by reducing cycle time improving quality and reducing operating costs through process evaluation re-design new product development and validation.
Initiate assist with capital improvement projects aimed at improving plant capabilities through new equipment purchase or facility modification.
Develop monitor training plans to ensure personnel are versed in new process requirements.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
