• Development and design of mechanical components for the High-Pressure Storage System (HPSS) and Vessels (HPV)
Responsibilities:
Responsibility 1:
• Define and design, in cooperation with the PAE (Product Application Engineer), components needed for HPSS systems & HPV: metallic bosses, metallic frames, etc...
• Pilot the supplier development for his/her component
• Assure conformity with applicable standards, norms and certifications
• Guarantee compliance with the customer specifications and the functional performance of the system
• Create/update component technical specifications and approve supplier deviation list and / validation plan with purchasing department
• Organize the validation testing, externally or internally and present component development status
• Review and approve supplier deliverables (drawing, FMEAs, validation plan...)
Responsibility 2:
• Participate to the drawings of the components
• Participate to the construction of the Bill of Materials and of the Piping and instrumentation diagram of the product/project
• Assure the availability of all relevant instructions relative to mounting, maintenance and usage of the components within the system
• Ensure product protection by filing patents and checking freedom to operate for his/her components
Responsibility 3:
• Support sales team in front of the customers; contribute to RFQs and solution definition.
• Make sure the component price is in line with targets. Identify potential saving or Design to cost applicable to his/her component. Master development costs (internal and external) and ensure alignment with project budget.
• As an expert, support project teams.
• Support laboratory team to define properly test instructions and provide all safety instructions related to the metallic parts
• Support industrial team to define assembly and testing lines
Responsibility 4:
• Lead Proof of Concept as a project
• Take an active role in the expertise through the analysis of patents and technical documentation
Profile:
Personal Background
• Above 1 year in Engineering/R&D positions or equivalent CDE position
• Experience in mechanical Component Design
• Experience of project and supplier management
• Master degree in engineering or equivalent
Job Technical skills
• Solid and deep understanding of the technology
• Competences in mechanics: static, dynamics & material
• Competences in Thermic and Fluid mechanics
• Understand design for manufacturing
• Familiar with supplier contact and management
Job Soft skills
• Ability to work efficiently
