Job description

The Compliance Policy Manager is responsible for assisting in the implementation and ongoing review and management of the OBHS Compliance Program with a specific focus on policies, procedures, and guidance. The Compliance Policy Manager’s primary role will be to provide integral support and coordination to the OBHS policy management functions assisting with the review, revision, and promulgation of policies, procedures, and guidance for the healthcare enterprise. The Compliance Policy
Manager serves as a policy point of contact for the organization and oversees the process of updating policy, procedure, and guidance and ensures final documents are stored in the designated electronic policy database. The position reports to the OBHS Chief Compliance Officer.


  • Leads the Compliance policy program by developing policy governance requirements via the OBHS Policy on Policies.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, analyze complex COMPLIANCE POLICY topics and tailor presentations to audiences such as the Board, Senior Executives, and Senior Managers. As appropriate, collaborate with legal counsel.
  • Directs the Compliance policy framework program, including providing oversight for policies and associated documents, synchronizing policies with regulatory requirements and controls and tracking approvals.
  • Work with subject matter experts to manage Compliance policy inventory, including providing assistance on the development, socialization, and update of policies.
  • Develop communication plans, training and resources regarding the Compliance policy program and deliver policy management presentations to cross-functional teams.
  • Reviews policies and procedures to verify that they align with organizational mission, vision, and strategic goals, with other existing policies, and that the quality of the document (e.g., structure, format, style, tone, and language) complies with policy documentation standards.
  • Works to ensure policies and procedures are not duplicated, redundant, or contradicting.
  • Assists in the collection, analysis, and reporting of key metrics related to the policy program to be reported to leadership.
  • Preferably works with a OBHS System Policy Committee to manage the complexities of policy management across the enterprise.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 


Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred Juris Doctor and/or Master’s) in healthcare administration or a related field.

 

Experience:
• 4+ years of experience in policy management in a healthcare setting.

 

Certification:
• Certificate in Healthcare Policy and Management.
