We are seeking a diligent and experienced Compliance Officer to join United Settlement. Preferably a Lawyer. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance within the organization, conducting regular audits, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Job Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the organization's activities comply with all applicable standards.
- Policy Development: Develop and update compliance policies and procedures
- Monitoring and Auditing: Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies and procedures. Identify areas of non-compliance and implement corrective measures.
- Training and Education: Provide training on compliance matters, ensuring that we are aware of and understand relevant regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on the status of compliance within the organization. Highlight any areas of concern and propose solutions.
- Investigations: Conduct investigations into potential compliance breaches and coordinate with management to address and resolve issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, including audit findings, corrective actions, and training documentation.
Qualifications:
- Preferably a Lawyer with 5 years' experience who has a bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
- Certification in Compliance or related field (e.g., Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager - CRCM).
- Familiarity with settlement processes and industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in a compliance role, preferably within the settlement or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Benefits and Compensation:
Salary: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year based on experience
