Compliance Officer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organization operates in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Your role will involve monitoring and assessing compliance risks, implementing compliance programs, and providing guidance to employees.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and update internal policies accordingly
- Provide training to employees on compliance-related topics
- Investigate any potential violations of laws or regulations, and report findings to senior management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial concepts, such as SOX, Bank Secrecy Act, Fair Housing regulations, and TILA
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in compliance

Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as finance, accounting, or business administration
- Proven experience working in a compliance role, preferably within the financial industry
- Strong knowledge of securities law, financial auditing, fraud prevention detection, and technical accounting
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify potential risks and develop effective solutions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train employees on compliance matters

Pay: $24.05 - $28.97 per hour
