Who we are looking for
State Street is hiring Compliance Manager, Vice President, in Boston, MA. This position will support the overall Compliance Program infrastructure for Global Credit Finance (GCF). GCF is the lending division of State Street comprised of five product groups: Fund Finance, Leveraged Loans, Commercial Real Estate, Stable Value Wrap, and Municipal Finance. The GCF Compliance, Vice President will be responsible for the US GCF Compliance Advisory function and will take the lead on global GCF Compliance coordination efforts. The position may also provide support to the State Street Global Markets (SSGM) Research Division, and other areas of SSGM as needed.
This role will be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home (1 day per week) and office (4 days per week) to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As Compliance Manager, Vice President you will:
  • Serve as primary point of contact for GCF Compliance advisory matters.
  • Participate in and provide compliance input for New Business Product Reviews, Global Transition Risk Assessments and other corporate or GCF initiatives as required.
  • Serve as a point of contact for auditors, regulators and other external parties as needed.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with the GCF business, other Compliance teams such as the Bank Policy & Strategy team, the Compliance Risk Testing team, Compliance Methodology, Global GCF Compliance Advisory team members, Corporate Compliance Functional Teams (Financial Crimes Compliance, Privacy, Conduct Risk Management), and the Business Risk Executive team.
  • Monitor applicable regulatory changes and provide effective change management to address such changes.
  • Maintain the regulatory obligations inventory in Archer.
  • Prepare, distribute and deliver reporting to Compliance Senior Management and the Business Risk Committee.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Compliance Risk Management policy and Core Compliance Risk Management policy and associated programs as well as a broad understanding of the entire Corporate Compliance function at State Street Corporation.
  • Provide compliance support including the areas listed above to SSGM Research and other areas of SSGM as required.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, Law degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in Compliance, Internal Audit, and/or Risk Management.
  • Ability to research, read and understand regulations and apply them to the business.
  • Familiarity with Archer, Excel, Cube.
  • Experience interacting with regulators and participating in regulator examinations.
  • Knowledge of Inside Information and Insider Trading concepts and regulations.
  • Experience with Flood Insurance, Community Reinvestment Act regulations, and Investment Advisor Rules a plus.

Salary Range:
$100 000 - $167 500 Annual
