VulcanForms Inc. is seeking a Contract and Compliance Manager, working remotely with travel to our VulcanForms locations.

Job Purpose

As VulcanForm’s Contract and Compliance Manager, you will work with various teams across the company to provide strategic guidance on our trade compliance program as well as on our contracts and document management. This is a unique role that combines your expertise in export / export laws and regulations with expanded responsibilities in contracts administration. You will report to our General Counsel and work cross functionally with our commercial and engineering teams and others across the company to strategize operational solutions to enable continued compliance in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Accountabilities

Trade Compliance Accountabilities

• Ensure compliance with ITAR, EAR, OFAC and Customs regulations including providing compliance guidance to both internal and external customers
• Oversee and collaborate with other teams on the company’s trade compliance programs, including sanctions screening, deemed export, IP blocking, and product classification
• Provide guidance and direction as needed on various trade compliance laws and regulations including Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
• Collaborate with various business functions (including colleagues in Legal, Finance, HR, Engineering, Marketing and Sales) to understand business priorities and build integrated, upstream, and forward-looking trade compliance processes
• Distill complex regulations into simple terms easily digestible by business colleagues
• Provide support to other Ethics & Compliance projects or initiatives, as needed

Contracts Administration Accountabilities

• Review fully executed agreements to determine effective/expirations dates, identifying and tracking milestones, reporting or other contractual obligations under such agreements and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
• Organize and manage legal records
• Ensure adherence to Contract and document tracking requirements
• Review of routine contracts and the day-to-day management of the contracts management system and contracts lifecycle
• Develop internal controls and plan and implement Contract and document audits
• Develop and deploys training related to contracts policies and Compliance policies
• Identify and recommends process improvements

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant job experience
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of the ITAR and EAR regulations in everyday job duties
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively
• Detailed oriented and highly organized
• Efficiently and effectively manages a diverse workload with competing priorities and deadlines, ensuring on-time completion of activities
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint
