What you'll get to do:
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Compliance Manager of Regulatory Examinations and Audits to join OppFi's dynamic Compliance Department. This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Compliance.
Responsibilities:
- You are an individual contributor responsible for assisting the Senior Vice President Director of Compliance and the Chief Compliance & Enterprise Risk Officer in overseeing and enhancing our Regulatory Examinations and Audit function and Compliance Risk Management Framework.
- Act as OppFi's point-of-contact and manager for all federal and state exams, bank partner exams, and internal and external audits,
- Maintain procedures for Examinations and Audits..
- Demonstrate functional or proficient working knowledge of the prudential, and consumer lending regulations including but not limited to: the Equal Credit Opportunity Act; Truth In Lending Act; Fair Lending; Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices Act; Servicemembers Civil Relief Act; Telephone Consumer Protection Act; and their implementing Regulations as well as other relevant regulatory requirements.
- Own Compliance policy maintenance, ensure policies updated and approved on a regular cadence. Collaborate with department owners to ensure accuracy and completeness of the materials being provided to state examiners.
- Identify and explain issues found during the examination process internally or externally as they are identified.
- Ensure issues found during examinations are escalated and remediated.
- Review and develop materials for regulatory exams and ad-hoc regulatory projects
- Review and prepare concise, well-written communications
- Develop and foster constructive professional relationships
- Establish trust and credibility with key stakeholders
- Contribute to a high-performance environment with an execution focus
- Other duties may be assigned as warranted
What you will bring to the team:
- 4+ years of experience in financial services exam and audit management, or similar experience in a fast-paced environment working within a regulated industry.
- Experience in working within a collaborative environment
- Demonstrated experience with presenting data and information to a collective group.
- Experience meeting and setting deadlines
- Knowledge of Salesforce and SQL, preferred
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of federal regulations under which OppFi operates; primarily the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), as well as the Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices Act (UDAAP), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Lending, Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), as well as others as necessary.
- Proficiency in G-Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Adaptable to rapid change.
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
- Confidence in decision making/reasoning skills.
- Ability to multitask as well as assess and change priorities.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working with external auditors
- Experience handling state examinations for a consumer finance organization
- Juris Doctorate, preferred
- Experience with SQL and/or Salesforce

Job Level: Manager
The minimum salary for this role is $112,000. The total compensation package includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses as well as a 1-time equity grant based on level.
The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be at the company's sole discretion, and determined by a myriad of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, and other relevant business considerations.
