Compliance Manager Job Description:
The Compliance Manager, Mental Health Parity will lead, coordinate and implement the Mental Health Parity (MHP) program infrastructure, including vendor partnerships. This position will act as a subject matter expert and provide compliance oversight and support for the MHP program through:
- Consultation on day-to-day compliance inquiries
- Providing parity education, training and communication
- Investigating compliance incidents
- Conducting compliance audits
- Coordinating across the business and responding to regulatory audits
- Maintaining program documentation
This Compliance Manager is responsible for program strategy as the regulatory world evolves and changes. This includes roadmap development and implementation.
In addition to managing strategy and the program infrastructure, our Compliance Program Manager works to identify risks and/or barriers and partners with stakeholders to develop solutions, collaborate on business area policies and procedures to incorporate parity compliance and align with compliance oversight and corporate policies, and lead MPH audits, monitor activities, and assist the business with remediation activities.
What you’ll bring to the Compliance Manager role:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience in compliance or utilization management in a healthcare or managed care environment; clinical, case management or Mental Health background preferred
- Health Plan experience required
- Parity compliance experience including working with Mental Health Parity requirements and a familiarity with current federal and state regulations preferred
- Experience working with external regulators required
- Demonstrated experience leading projects, researching and conducting analysis, and using applied organizational resources, to lead by influence across business segments.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to speak and present infront of Leadership.
- Ability to work autonomously and with limited supervision
- Proficient in attention to detail with the ability to train others
- Solution and detail oriented with advanced program and project management skills
- Broad health plan operations knowledge
- Proficient in Microsoft Tools: Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, OneNote
