Responsibilities: Reporting to our Corporate Counsel, the Compliance Analyst will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Conducting know your customer (KYC) due diligence reviews (including OFAC, AML and others) on customers using internal and external databases. Documenting search results and summarizing risks based on information gathered. Escalating reviews where appropriate.
- Identifying inconsistencies between documentation provided by customers and information received from KYC databases and ensuring that all customer documentation is thoroughly completed.
- Assisting with creating and documenting processes for KYC due diligence reviews.
- Gathering and reviewing state sales tax resale exemption compliance information from customers. Maintaining sales tax exemption certificates and information in third-party database.
- Preparing customer documentation related to the extension of credit, including personal guarantees.
- Developing training programs for UCG staff related to the AML and state sales tax exemption processes.
- Assisting with other compliance issues as identified, such as, corporate and compliance filings, subpoena responses, and maintaining the corporate contract database.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and handling issues with the highest level of integrity.
- Additional duties assigned by management, as needed.
- Bachelor's degree
- Two (2) + years of relevant experience in compliance, legal or finance/accounting role

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must have the ability and desire to learn new programs and systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with NetSuite, Avalara and/or Thomson Reuters CLEAR systems a plus.
