Job description

The Compliance Analyst will support the Chief Compliance Officer in overseeing Choice Bank's regulatory compliance program, working closely with first- and second-line stakeholders to facilitate appropriate compliance risk identification, mitigation, and management, with a specific focus on maturing the Bank's fair banking oversight program. This individual will be responsible for, among other things, assisting with day-to-day compliance risk support of business units, facilitating or leading fair lending or other assigned validation and reporting activities, participating in compliance risk assessments and reviews, and supporting the CCO and Deputy Chief Risk Officer with internal audits and regulatory exams.
Responsibilities (What will be the day- to- day responsibilities of this position?)

  • Develop and mature risk standards and programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policy requirements.
  • Support the CCO in the completion of the Bank's annual Fair Banking risk assessment
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the compliance obligation inventory, control inventory, and risk and control self-assessment processes as they relate to Fair Banking requirements or other assigned compliance regulations
  • Collaborate with the CCO to perform subject matter expert reviews and assessments for fair banking and other assigned regulations
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to drive maturation and effectiveness of the compliance program, with a specific focus on Fair Banking oversight
  • Oversee responses to auditor or regulatory requests, in collaboration with the CCO and Deputy CRO
  • Maintain knowledge and expertise in applicable laws and regulations.
  • Performs other ad hoc QA related duties as required.
