Position Title: Compliance Analyst, Total Care Auto
The Compliance Analyst is responsible for assisting in preparing, filing, and tracking regulatory compliance submissions with an emphasis on the companies' motor vehicle extended warranty and ancillary / F&I programs and products under the direction of compliance leadership. This includes assisting with coordinating, compiling and/or submitting contract/form and/or rate filings requiring state approval.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Assist in identifying potential issues and deficiencies within the scope of products, programs, and processes of the company.
• Assist in implementing processes and internal controls to monitor compliance.
• Assist the Director of Compliance in researching and analyzing state laws, regulations, and insurance department guidelines.
• Assist in the preparation of program-specific form filings requiring state approval or filing; This may include products offered as property & casualty insurance, extended warranty/service contracts, GAP waivers and other related ancillary products.
• Coordinate pre-filing review of same with management and/or outside regulatory or legal counsel as well as outside actuarial services, as necessary; Also coordinate pre-filing review by lenders, credit unions and other external partners, as required; Document and integrate required revisions, as appropriate, prior to final submission.
• Organize and track submission of all required product filings, via SERFF, or other filing methods as required by state regulators. Form filings include but not limited to, coverage forms, endorsements, and related regulatory filings.
• Create and manage filing system to organize all compliance filings and documentation.
• Support preparation or review of all training documents, marketing materials, etc. from a compliance perspective.
• Work closely with the Director of Compliance and Director of Product Development on any other tasks related to products, programs, and compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred plus minimum of four years of related experience OR a combination of related industry education and experience equivalent to six years.
• Experience in compliance in a finance related industry (insurance, banking, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact with internal employees, insurance departments, and external representatives.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships and work effectively with a wide variety of individuals.
• Project and time management skills. Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to learn and work with other company-specific data systems and reporting tools.
• Work performed in an office setting due to the need to work in person with other employees.
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers and move about facilities.
• Required vision include close, vision, distance, peripheral and the ability to adjust focus.
• Required to lift-up to a minimum of 5lbs.
• Maintain regular attendance and timeliness as set forth within the work schedule designated by department supervisor/manager.
• The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
• The ability to hear, listen, understand, and communicate clearly with others on a regular basis.
• The ability to use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
