Summary:
The Analyst, Compensation will support the business functions by overseeing and performing administration of Workday job profiles, ensuring compliance with federal and state compensation laws, and aligning with business needs. They will be able to provide compensation recommendations in consultation with HRBP’s and/or Talent Acquisition for promotions, adjustments, retention, and new hires. They will provide analysis on compensation data, benchmarking, survey submissions, and support various compensation projects.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as a compensation subject matter expert supporting the business functions.
Oversee and perform administration on Workday job profiles to ensure compliancy with federal and state compensation laws and alignment with business needs.
Provide compensation recommendations in consultation with HRBP’s and/or Talent Acquisition for promotions, adjustments, retention, and new hires.
Assist in the implementation and delivery of various Compensation and HR projects.
Evaluate and manage company’s jobs and job-related databases, create job codes, and develop job descriptions.
Manage department’s audits on compensation plans, minimum wage, allowances, and other relative assignments.
Perform market pricing and benchmarking of jobs to external market surveys.
Review salary increases for compliance with organization policy and budget.
Conduct compensation evaluation and analysis leveraging market survey tools.
Research, collect and analyze data to determine appropriate compensation, grade level and title for proposed new jobs and re-evaluations of current jobs.
Provide insight and reporting on total corporate job architecture, ensuring alignment with compensation, employee career pathing, workforce planning and talent strategy.
Participate in salary surveys to maintain current competitive data, summarizing analysis results.
Build strong working relationships with various cross functional groups to understand and deliver on business needs.
Partner with HRBP partners and business leaders to provide appropriate guidance and interpretation of compensation polices and guidelines.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

Know HR policies, employment laws, and compensation laws.
Practical knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding compensation practices.
Understand HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

Build relationships with different groups of people.
Work on projects independently, manage many duties, and finish tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
Five (5) years of prior or relevant experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and solve a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exists. Ability to intemperate a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Work Complexity:
Problems and issues faced are general and may require understanding of broader set of issues but typically are not complex. May require familiarity with the job specific industry. Problems require understanding of other job areas. Problems are typically solved through drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue.
