Companion Care Providers Needed

Job Summary
Preferred Care at Home of Northern Westchester and Putnam is dedicated to providing reliable and compassionate care to seniors. Our goal is to ensure our clients can remain in the comfort of their own home. In order to fulfill our mission we are looking for dedicated Care Providers who enjoy working with seniors in a 1:1 setting.

For our companion cases, the ideal candidate will be reliable, caring and have excellent relationship building skills. Since this is a companion case no certification is required. This is a great opportunity for those looking for a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities of Companions
- Provide socialization, empathy and support to client
- Engage clients in activities (reading, walking, games)
- Light housekeeping and meal preparation
- May be responsible for taking clients to appointment and running errands
Requirements of Companions
- Driver's license highly preferred but not required.
- Preferably, previous experience providing home health care/Companion Care services
- Ability to assess situations and take appropriate action
- Remain professional and respectful
- Ability to work independently
- Friendly and engaging personality
