JOB SUMMARY:

The Community Relations Coordinator: 1) assists with external and in-house sales and marketing, 2) participates in the development and implementation of the community’s sales and marketing plan, 3) coordinates move-in process for new residents, and 4) acts as a liaison between new/incoming residents and Spring Arbor department managers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Office Duties

  • Greet and direct visitors in a professional, friendly and hospitable manner
  • Answer inquiries according to established procedures relative to HIPAA guidelines
  • Handle inquires in a positive manner and obtain necessary information for follow-up
  • Operate community telephone and paging systems efficiently and transmit calls and messages promptly and accurately

Sales/Marketing

  • Assist with the development and implementation of the community’s sales and marketing plan
  • Assist with sales and marketing activities and events
  • Document sales activity on a daily basis utilizing CRM system
  • Meet monthly key performance indicators including: follow up calls, professional sales calls, tours and event planning
  • Prepare marketing packets and literature for referrals and prospects
  • Develop a strong network of professional and agency referral sources
  • Host and attend community events, developing positive Community Relations
  • Research and maintain information on local competitors, including rates, specials and services
  • Schedule presentations with prospective residents and families, in accordance with Spring Arbor protocol
  • Coordinates move-in process for new residents

Training

  • Attend meetings and in-service training sessions as required and in accordance with state guidelines

Residents’ Rights Functions

  • Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights at all times and report observed violations

Other

  • Abide by all house policies and procedures
  • Handle emergency situations in a calm, effective manner
  • Assist coworkers with other duties as needed
  • Assist with resident activities as needed
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to support the community’s sales process
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by his/her supervisor

  • Maintain confidential information
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be courteous, patient, and tactful when dealing with public, residents, and families
  • Ability to learn tasks and follow instructions

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or service environment preferred
  • Well developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
  • Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment
