Assists the Manager, Community Outreach in establishing, maintaining, and building partnerships with key community organizations within the DSA, including outreach to educational, religious, civic and social organizations to increase organ and tissue donation.
Compensation range for this position is $59,276 - $66,688 annually

- Support Gift of Hope’s mission, vision, and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position
- Develop and maintain partnerships with select community, educational, religious, civic and social organizations to increase awareness of, and support for, organ and tissue donation
- Develop and implement programs/projects and special events to increase overall public awareness and increase registration rates in the communities we serve; foster participation by Ambassadors for Hope volunteer members and Gift of Hope staff
- In conjunction with Volunteer Coordinator, lead a volunteer chapter within assigned targeted communities, coordinate their efforts to promote organ and tissue donation; encourage attendance/support of community-based programs and Gift of Hope sponsored programs and support marketing and communication opportunities
- Monitor and analyze effectiveness of volunteers’ activities
- Liaison with and support Donation Coordinators to develop hospital Community Outreach programs for signature events and participate in donation committees
- Identify new opportunities and partnerships to increase donation and building awareness within targeted communities
- Contribute to the monthly newsletters and, social media platforms, focusing content as it relates to area of expertise; assist in maintaining information on Gift of Hope websites

- Bachelor’s degree in community relations, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience and Skills Required

- 3 years’ related experience in community relations or not-for-profit public relations, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Experience coordinating volunteer programs
- Experience developing and executing community-based programs and events
- Ability to cultivate and maintain community-based partnerships
- Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of audiences
- Ability to influence support for organ and tissue donation
- Intermediate skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to speak publicly before a wide variety of audiences to motivate and inspire others
- Bilingual Spanish skills preferred
