Job Summary:

The Community Outreach Officer serves as a brand ambassador within the local community to promote the benefits of Encore Bank membership, while supporting the strategic growth of the business and pursuing opportunities for the ongoing acquisition of new members, loans, and deposit accounts.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties listed below are some of the duties that may be assigned and may not include all responsibilities that the person in this role may be asked to perform.   • Serves as an ambassador to an assigned region of local schools and branches while promoting the benefits of membership through external events at local schools, colleges, associations, and community groups to drive new business for the Bank.
  • Collaborates under the direction of the Member Outreach Director and Manager to maximize brand recognition for increased business development opportunities.
  • Manages schedules to ensure that all assignments, relationship goals, outbound calls, activities, and events are accurately logged in a contact management solution on a daily basis.
  • Maintain records and prepare monthly reports on Community Outreach activities, business relationships, Select Employee Group engagement efforts, and the results of those activities.
  • Build a database of viable prospects for new sponsor relationships and schedule to business development meetings to increase our field of membership.
  • Actively participate in festivals, fairs, and trade shows to promote new business for the Bank.
  • Assists with new membership and lending applications during field-based events to drive the successful achievement of organizational growth objectives.
  • Assists in the staging and setup of promotional events and exhibits at school-based and community events.
  • Assists in the deployment of retail marketing campaigns throughout the assigned locations and events including facilitation of outbound promotions via lobby, phone, and sponsor on-site.
  • Participates in team meetings to share best practices in membership marketing while serving as a subject-matter mentor to peers, staff, and students.
  • Assists the Member Outreach Director and Manager in the development of member onboarding strategies and other member engagement initiatives.
  • Required to have the ability to travel throughout all regions to provide staffing assistance when necessary.
  • Must have comfort in speaking in front of both small and large groups including in classroom presentations and community events.
  • Assists, monitors, finds or creates CRA and non-CRA volunteer opportunities within the assigned footprint for bank associates.
  • Weekend, evening hours and travel may be required.
  • Collaborates with Retail and Lending stakeholders in the creation of targeted promotional campaigns.
  • Stays abreast of individual community trends and economic development changes. Tracks and measures event participation results. Makes recommendations to maximize return on future investments of events, sponsorships, philanthropic initiatives and donations.
  • Poses a level of understanding of Community Reinvestment Act guidelines.
  • Track a sponsorship budget as assigned by Member Outreach Director and Manager

  • Working knowledge of PC applications including Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Work Experience Required for this job:

  • 3 - 5 years: Prior experience in a similar role


Education Required for this job:

  • Associates or better
  • High School or better


Attendance Requirements:

  • Daily attendance is required during normal business working hours
  • In-person and/or hybrid attendance is occasionally required for company, client, and/or team meetings


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:


  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Travel:

  • Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected
