We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Community Health OBGYN to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about women's health and wishes to make a significant impact in a community setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to our patients, from adolescence through menopause. This includes managing both low and high-risk pregnancies, providing preventative care, diagnosing and treating reproductive system disorders, and performing surgeries. The role involves on-call duties, rounding, and maintaining hospital privileges.
Responsibilities:
As a Community Health OBGYN, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Providing comprehensive obstetrical care, including prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care.
2. Performing routine gynecological examinations and procedures.
3. Diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders of the female reproductive system.
4. Performing surgical procedures as necessary, including cesarean deliveries, hysterectomies, and gynecological cancer surgeries.
5. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
6. Participating in on-call rotations and rounding duties at affiliated hospitals.
7. Maintaining hospital privileges and adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
8. Educating patients on reproductive health, including contraception, fertility, and sexually transmitted diseases.
9. Staying updated on the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology and incorporating them into patient care when appropriate.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Community Health OBGYN position must meet the following qualifications:
1. Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
2. Board Certification or board eligibility
3. Valid and active state medical license.
4. Proven experience in managing both low and high-risk pregnancies.
5. Experience with on-call duties, rounding, and maintaining hospital privileges.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
7. A strong commitment to providing community-based care.
